Sometimes, there is a tipping point in history, which we have witnessed during the last few months. I have been hunkered down in my Home and Office for over a month. I have not driven my car or have eaten out during that time. My wife has been preparing the food; the other day, she learned to prepare great pizza from scratch. The securities broker/dealer I partnered with in the early eighties just announced they would not hold their annual conference, which was to be held in Chicago this year; close to eight thousand attendees were expected. The conference hall in Chicago was converted into a hospital. Everything is changing from home life to public education. People will need to find other ways to make a living. Looking through history, this has been going on for a time; a phase of “creative destruction” was first coined years ago by a political economist, Joseph Schumpeter, who linked the processes of the accumulation and annihilation of wealth together.
